Restaurant
We have considerable experience of designing, installing, commissioning and maintaining systems for restaurants. The quality of the dining environment is an essential part of the overall experience and one that can detract considerably from the customers enjoyment if it is not designed or operating correctly. This can result in temperature issues, unpleasant odours, cold drafts or a combination of all of these. In addition, it is important for the equipment to look good, be unobtrusive and to be easily maintained and reliable.
Modern Air Conditioning systems utilise renewable heat pump technology and are extremely energy efficient at both heating and cooling. They are typically 4 times more efficient than traditional gas or electric powered heating systems and 50{0ac3d56eea693ac2cfa2249648973a1cfbe39fc1280b0561f9d581ca114fac1e} more efficient than 10-15 year old AC systems so can offer good energy savings as against older systems.
Heat Pumps are classified as a Green Technology and emit Zero Carbon emissions.
There are three common types of unit which are most suitable depending on budget and the type of building:
Wall mounted air conditioners
These are the least expensive to install and can be easily retrofitted without damaging the internal decoration. The good quality units are very efficient and quiet and come in many different sizes.
Ceiling mounted cassette units
Ceiling mounted cassette units are a very popular option for restaurants. They are unobtrusive and aesthetically pleasing and fit very well into a suspended ceiling. They also provide excellent air flow to ensure that the temperature within the restaurant is even distributed.
Ducted Systems
Frequently restaurants are going for an exposed look where the ductwork and AC units are left exposed. This type of application is particularly suited to the ducted system. Ducted systems are the most attractive solution although they are the most expensive. All that is usually visible is the small grill which can be sized and colour coordinated to blend very attractively into the surrounding ceiling space. Ducted Units are usually the best all round solution in new build fit outs although can be retrofitted provided there is a space or void above to hold the unit.
