Heat Pumps

Modern air conditioning systems utilise air to air heat pump technology which has the capability of heating and cooling, rather than traditional air conditioners which only cooled and thereby required additional forms of heating to be installed in parallel.

Heat Pumps are commonly referred to as a renewable technology as they use electrical energy in a very efficient way to cool or to heat. The efficiency of a heat pump is such that it typically provides 2.5 – 4.0 units of heat energy for every unit of electricity used to run the heat pump as compared to the best gas boilers which are typically around 90% efficient. ie they convert approximately 90% of the energy burnt into heat. The power used to drive a heat pump is also electrical energy rather than fossil fuel technology all of which can result in substantially reduced running costs and lower carbon emissions.

Heat-pump systems are very flexible and use less than a quarter of the electrical energy consumed by all other electrical heaters. You can keep your property warm in the winter months, cool in the summer and save money and energy at the same time.

New heat pump air conditioning systems offer the perfect balance of temperature, so that you can enjoy the perfect comfort levels all year around.

Many buildings typically operate separate systems for heating, cooling, refrigeration, ventilation and hot water. As a result, a large amount of energy is wasted. We can offer a more efficient alternative which can manage up to 70% of a building’s energy consumption to intelligently deliver maximum energy efficiency at minimal operating costs and to reduce CO2 emissions.

Todays’ systems can also simultaneously heat and cool different spaces to balance energy use across a building and can supply hot water thereby negating the need for traditional heating and separate air conditioning systems.

Energy-efficient building solutions can seem more costly upfront, but choosing the sustainable option saves you money in the long run. By investing in a green solution, you reduce your operational costs and take advantage of renewable resources. Stay ahead of legislation and increase the market value of your building.

Elliott’s holds the coveted MCS accreditation for Air Source Heat Pumps. This enables the company to participate in the Governments Boiler Replacement Scheme, which contributes up to £5000 to Domestic customers and Small Businesses towards the cost of replacing Gas or Oil fired boilers with Renewable Air Source Heat Pumps which are typically used in Hot Water type heating systems.

For heating, hot water and cooling

Powered by an optional combination of air, electricity and gas depending on seasonal conditions and energy prices

Ideal for renovations or replacing old gas boilers

Domestic hot water is efficiently supplied even when temperature is low with the combination of a heat pump type hot water heater and a gas boiler

Ground source heat pumps are ideal for new properties or large-scale renovations using horizontal loops where land is available, or vertical probes drilled perpendicularly into the ground. By extracting energy from below the Earth’s surface, ground source heat pumps are extremely reliable, even in the coldest climates. Ground temperatures remain fairly stable throughout the year, making it an ideal renewable energy source.

The company has almost 20 years experience providing these systems.

Heat Pumps are classified as a Green Technology and emit Zero Carbon emissions.

They are also very quiet and look good.
